1. Open Your Story or Dashboard:

   • Click on the widget or chart, then open the Designer Panel on the right side.

5. Add Input Control:

   • Click + Input Control from the Designer Panel.
   • Select the dimension you want to use as an Input Control. For example, if you want to filter data by country, choose the "Country" dimension.

6. Configure Input Control:

   • A new Input Control dialog will open.
   • You can choose from different types of Input Controls:
     • Drop-down: Users can select one or more values from a list.
     • Range Slider: For numeric dimensions, you can define a range.
     • Date Picker: For date dimensions.
     • Check Box: To allow multi-selection of values.
   • Set the behavior (e.g., single or multiple selection).
   • Optionally, define a default value for the Input Control.

7. Link Input Control to Widgets:

8. Test and Adjust:

   • After setting up, test the Input Control by selecting values and observing how the data in your widgets or charts updates dynamically.
   • Adjust the Input Control configuration if needed, by going back to the Designer Panel.

9. Save and Publish:

   • Once you are satisfied with the Input Control, save your story or dashboard.
   • Optionally, publish it for other users to interact with the Input Controls.

Advanced Tips:

• Multiple Input Controls: You can add multiple Input Controls for different dimensions. For example, one Input Control for regions and another for product categories.
• Hierarchical Input Controls: SAC allows you to create hierarchical filters if your data supports it (e.g., continent → country → city).
• Filter Scope: You can define whether the Input Control affects all pages, just the current page, or specific charts within the story.
