Analytics for Office Global Variants

Below are the steps to set up Global Variants in SAP Analytics for Office:

1. Open Your Workbook:
   Launch Excel and open your SAP Analytics for Office workbook where you'd like to use global variants.

2. Access the Global Variants Feature:
   On the SAP Analytics for Office ribbon (often found under the "Analysis" or "SAP Analytics" tab), click the "Global Variants" button. This will open the Global Variants management interface.

3. Create a New Global Variant:
   In the Global Variants window, select the option to create a new variant. You'll be prompted to provide a name and (optionally) a description that clearly identifies the variant.

4. Select the Variant Settings:
   Choose which parameters, filters, or settings from your workbook you want to save in this variant. These might include data selections, variable values, or other configurable options that influence your analysis.

5. Save the Variant:
   After configuring your settings, click "Save." Your new global variant will now be stored and available for use within this workbook.

6. Apply a Global Variant:
   To use a variant, return to the "Global Variants" menu, select the saved variant from the list, and apply it. The workbook will update to reflect the saved settings.

7. Manage Existing Variants:
   If you need to update or remove a variant later, simply reopen the Global Variants interface. From there, you can edit the settings or delete variants that are no longer required.
